In a surprising crossover event that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
