Celtic had actually recovered well from Hearts’ rapid start. The defender, who had a difficult day, turned the ball into his own net due to panic when trying to remove a Shankland cross. Celtic edged their way back into the game, skipper Callum McGregor, scoring a Tierney pass for 1-1.
Solid Backline
The shot-stopper Alexander Schwolow, who had made a brilliant stop from Nygren in the first half, kept out an Arne Engels shot which deflected off Tómas Magnússon. Craig Halkett blocked a Yamada attempt in added time. The hosts faced little else as the minutes passed. “We remain resolute” has become the popular anthem at the ground. One cannot overlook the noise.
